About

I grew up surrounded by intensely creative people on both sides of my family while creativity seemed to elude me.

And then 2008 happened.

After two battles with breast cancer, God took my mother to heaven.

Because it broke my heart to imagine a world without beautiful things rolling off of her machine, I started sewing. I didn’t want her lifelong passion to die with her.

It was this self-imposed burden to carry on her legacy that sparked a creativity in my heart that I never knew existed.  Soon, I realized that sewing was my passion too!

Through all of the heartache of my mother’s sickness, death, and the aftermath of life without her, I experienced the blessing of being married to a man who has fiercely loved and protected me.  He is the love of my life and I couldn’t imagine my life without his companionship, protection, and encouragement.  We enjoy taking long walks together most nights of the week, going to ALL the country concerts, and soaking up the sun around our pool.

Home is Miami where we homeschool our three kids and pamper our Yorkie so much that she has never once doubted that she’s the queen of the house.

My heart is so happy that you’ve chosen to check out my corner of the world.  I hope you leave feeling inspired.

XOXO, Amy

Wow- what a wonderful legacy to your mum. Having always sewed because my Granny and Mum did I can understand why it means so much to you. Your makes are gorgeous and I’m so glad I stumbled upon you via Minerva.
    Never stop. X
